Social Networking Isn't About The Money?

The internet sure has changed due to the growing popularity of social networking sites such as FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter, You Tube and so many others. There are literally hundreds of social networking sites and millions of blogs on the internet today. With all of this new technology, you have to believe that there are also millions of gurus telling you how to make money using social networking sites and blogs. Is this all just smoke or have we been doing something wrong?

Granted, there are people making money on social networking sites all over the place, but until now, I never really understood the whole science behind it. I mean, I understood it, but I never really heard it being explained as well as Perry Belcher explains it.

It's sort of like a paradigm shift in the way we should use social networking sites. A new, more creative way of experiencing and enjoying creating business opportunities through social networking sites and blogging. Perry gives some really important insight on the relationships we should be building as opposed to the "Strong seller" mentality.

Take a couple of minutes and watch this video, I think you will get a lot of good information out of it.

If nothing else you learn something. Ouch, I know. Learning sucks.

Blogging For Dollars

Thanks to the internet, blogging has become the thing to do in today's society. If you have a knack for writing but can't find a publisher who wants to publish your art, then blogging is right up your alley.

From teens, to adults, to even people in their prime and golden years, blogging has become the most used media to get your message heard. Even though video has become quite the craze in the last couple of years on the internet, for those who simply love to write, blogging is the new black. As a matter of fact, many people use blogging as a new way to blow off some steam and relieve stress. It serves as an outlet to be heard and get your opinions out into the public eye.

Besides the fact that blogging is fun, easy and can help you relieve stress, blogging can also bring you fame and success.

If you think you have the skills or at least the willingness to learn the skills of writing successful blogs, then you have the potential to become very popular on the internet. Believe it or not every day there are hundreds of millionaires made on the internet. Some of them sell stuff, some make very funny videos, some just write about the things they love or don't even like very much, for that matter.

Writing blogs is especially popular because you can write about anything you want. You can write about your day at the zoo or your day at the White House. If you think you have something somebody else wants to hear, then by all means you should have your own blog. Whatever blogs you write, the key here is that you should write something that can arouse the interest of your readers. It's that simple.

So how do you get famous on the internet by writing blogs? Well First of all, since you will be posting your blogs on the internet, your blog can be easily accessed by millions of people. I know that's a big number, but you would be surprised at how many like minded people, just like you are out there looking for information about what you are writing about. Once you get a readers attention, they will be able to spread the word faster than you ever thought possible. After all, this is the internet, and you know how fast things get around on the internet.

Once you start to develop a group of loyal readers, you can start to actually start to make a little bit of money from your blogs. You can do this either through affiliate programs or you can even sell some of your own stuff, depending on what you are writing about. Some bloggers sometimes just ask for donations to maintain the blog running and believe it or not, they get it. It all depends on how well you write and how many subscribers decide that they can't live without your blog. It seems unrealistic but if you did a little research on the internet you will see the millions and millions of blogs out there, and there is no end in sight.

Obviously, before we get to far ahead of ourselves, we should actually consider the fact that all of your first attempts at blogging aren't going to get you to the top of the food chain so quickly. To get famous you have to write good blogs and learn how to monetize them or make money from them. You have to capture the minds of your readers and keep them interested long enough that they will want to read more of your blogs. If you do this, then you will be able to get loyal readers.

So where do you begin? To start a blog you first have to create you very own blogging website. With the likes of websites like Blogger and WordPress, starting a blog website has become very easy and most of all FREE. Sign up with one of these websites and start posting your blogs.

The secret to becoming successful with blogging is all about the content that you post. Content is king, at least on the internet. Make sure that what you write is well thought out and is beneficial for your readers. No matter what you write about though, be it your extraordinary experiences, or what other people experienced, you have to remember that you have to present it in a way that will entertain your readers.

Blogging is by far the easiest and least expensive way to become famous on the internet. The greatest thing about blogging is that you can start today, write about anything you want to write about and you can do it all from your computer at home.

FaceBook Don'ts

There are some very simple things you can do for your business to help you build credibility and develop trust among your readers, members and customers.

For more information on building business credibility read “Building Trust Through Credibility”.

Using FaceBook and other social networking sites to promote your business is an absolute must. Social networking sites offer an invaluable resource for readers, members and potential customers that are extremely targeted. However, if you are using FaceBook to promote your business, there are certain things that can easily undo all of the hard work you have put into building business credibility, and it can happen in a matter of minutes.

Here are some things that you definitely want to avoid in order to save Face:

1.Spamming people’s inboxes and wall: Sending unsolicited messages to people’s inboxes and walls is considered spamming. Just like in the real world, spamming on FaceBook is frowned upon. Spamming and sending random messages to inboxes will not only cause you to lose credibility, it can also get you banned from FaceBook. FaceBook tries to keep a real sharp eye out for spammers and members who post the same message on multiple pages. According to the rules and regulations, FaceBook has the right to suspend or terminate your account if these terms are not met. FaceBook is the best social networking site on the Internet and it is important to keep it in its current, clean, spam free state, so that it remains a useful and valuable tool for everyone who uses it.

2. Posting a message on someone’s wall with the sole purpose of linking to you site: Posting direct links on people’s walls and inboxes makes you look desperate and unprofessional. Instead of posting your links on someone else’s page, post comments on existing posts of interest, which will lead readers back to your profile page. Another way to draw a response would be to join relevant groups of interest and post articles and useful information, such as this article. This would get readers to visit your profile page, which would obviously link back to your site.

3. Keep your profile professional: While you want to connect with your readers on a human level, you want to make sure you don’t get overly personal. This is especially true with pictures and videos. Although we all want to be friends and network, it is important that your network understands that you are a business first and foremost. You are trying to build business credibility and it is important to run your marketing campaign in that same manner.

4. FaceBook applications are silly: Avoid using and installing an abundance of silly FaceBook applications. Some of the applications provided from FaceBook are actually pretty fun to use. Unfortunately they clutter up your profile page and distract your readers and customers from what they are really there to do. Again, your main focus should be to get your readers to find out about your business and that is a lot easier if they are not distracted by all of the bells and whistles.

5. Pick your battles: From time to time, you are going to find yourself disagreeing with somebody while you are using FaceBook as a business tool. Believe it or not cyber-bullies do exist and they are on FaceBook. Try to avoid cyber-wars with anyone on FaceBook. If someone is overly offensive and or negative, just simply block him or her and delete him or her from your friends list. It is much easier than having an all out war. Bullies come and go, but your business is here to stay.

Above all, use good common sense. Always consider your customers, your potential customers, business contacts, and potential business contacts before you act – or before you hit a submit button.

If you follow these no-no rules, you will almost always be just fine on FaceBook.
Enjoy this wonderful resource for business and you will make a lot of great contact and build relationships that can last a lifetime.

Building Trust Through Credibility

In many ways, building an online business is as hard if not harder than building a regular brick and mortar business. One of the reasons for this is that as an online business owner, you hardly ever get a chance to meet your clients or customers personally. This makes it more difficult to build a client base because many people have a hard time learning to trust somebody they have never met. You wouldn't hire a contractor to build your house that you never met, would you? I don't think I would. However, we expect people to do business with us without ever meeting us. What makes us so special?

One of the more critical factors that can affect the success of your business, whether it's an online or offline business, is your credibility. The mere perception of being trustworthy and believable can make a very large difference in your ability to acquire and retain a client base. Brand and business credibility is the reason why consumers spend billions of dollars a year on brand name goods and services. Representing a level of quality that people know and trust does not happen overnight and may take some work.

So how do you build credibility online? First and foremost, you need to be consistent. People tend to trust a company or business that acts in a consistent manner most of the time. For example, if you have a newsletter you publish online, try to keep it as familiar to your customers as possible. You want to represent a sense of familiarity and maintain the same level of quality throughout all of your publications. You want your customers to recognize your newsletter and be able to tell you apart from the masses they receive on a daily basis. Maintaining a regular schedule on your mailings and publications will also reduce confusion in the minds of your readers. Meet and exceed all of your standards of quality for all of your products and services that you are promoting.

Credibility is something that is not easily established. You need to give a little of yourself on occasion in order t get the trust from your customers you are looking for. There are a couple of ways to do this that come to mind. Offering free trials of your products or free bonuses to supplement your promotions are great ways to get your product in front of your customers in order to build trust and see for themselves that your products are as good as you claim. This also enables the potential customer to check to see that your product will do the job you say that it will.

Sharing your knowledge in free reports, blog posts and articles also aids in the building of your credibility. This puts you in a position of leadership and gives you credibility as an expert in your field. You can also share some of your knowledge as an expert in your field via your weekly or monthly publications or in forums that are relevant to your business. Once you've established yourself as a leader and an expert in your field you can guarantee you will gain credibility and trust.

Once you start gaining some momentum, you need to make sure that you maintain your credibility. Making over the top and outlandish claims in your advertisement or on your website is a sure fire way of harming your credibility. Strong credibility takes a long time and much effort to build. It can be destroyed quickly and sometimes can never be regained. Ensure that your products or services provide more value to your customers than promised. Before you write your ad copy for your online promotions, be sure to know what benefits your target market is looking for and clearly state them as to not mislead your potential customers. Don't just state what your qualifications are on your web site or in your promotional material. Instead, state how your qualifications can benefit your potential customers. For example, state how your expertise will provide the solution your prospect needs in a way he or she will understand.

Having your current customers write testimonials for your products or services is a powerful way to generate trust. A testimonial is a statement from one of your satisfied customers expressing their experiences and satisfaction with your product or services and how they benefited from its use. Set your website up so you can have good and happy customers leave you unsolicited testimonial whenever possible. Ensure you have permission to publish the testimonials before you post them. Unsolicited testimonials are by far the best one's to use. Lastly, never write your own testimonials, because you will always get caught and that will undoubtedly ruin your credibility.

Developing and following ethical and sound business practices will certainly help build your credibility as well. Posting current contact information on your website and prompt deliveries of the products and services you offer build the right impression of your business. Responding promptly to any customer requests will ensure that you maintain your customers trust. Efficient business procedures that are focused on providing customer satisfaction will always help your business image. For your business to achieve it's full potential, it is very important that you set standards and live by them so that you are constantly building your credibility.

Remember that everything you do reflects on your business' image and credibility, whether it's good or bad. Establishing your credibility is much harder than losing it. Being focused on providing solutions to your customers, providing consistent quality and value for their money, and being accessible will all help you achieve the credibility your business needs to succeed.

New To Affiliate Marketing?

Every day, thousands of people from all over the world make the decision that they would like to start making money online. While the specific reason that people decide to try their hand at making money online is not especially relevant, there are some common features that people who decide to become involved in online business exhibit.

Not surprisingly, for the vast majority of people who decide that this seems like a good idea, it is also a very new idea. In other words, the people that we are talking about tend to have no established 'bricks and mortar’ real-world business of their own. In effect, they want to earn money but have no way of doing so as yet. Moreover, to most of these people, the idea that that you can earn money from the internet is a new concept that they had probably never considered before.

The majority of new online entrepreneurs have no product or service of their own to sell. They are also likely to have very little money available to fund their new online business venture. It is for these reasons that most people who approach online marketing for the first time will start their online money making adventure using affiliate marketing as their method of choice. So what is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is nothing more than selling the products or services of somebody else in return for a percentage of the sales proceeds as a commission. It is a little like working as a commission only salesman for a real- world business. Just as would happen in this real-world scenario, if you make no sales, then you do not get paid. Having said that, there are many advantages to selling products as an affiliate for the original creator:

• You do not need to create your own product (!).

• You do not need to carry inventory or worry about delivery.

• You do not need your own merchant account to accept payments.

All you need to do is find a product and promote it successfully, and then cash your ‘paychecks’ when they arrive.

This is not to say, however, that it is only beginners who are trying to make money from affiliate marketing. There are some extremely experienced marketers who focus all of their efforts on affiliate marketing, and are very successful at doing so. These people are regular six-figure income earners and every single cent of their income is derived from affiliate marketing. However, well over 95% of people that start out as affiliate marketers never make a brass nickel, and in the majority of cases, they actually manage to lose money. There is clearly something going wrong for these people.

Some make the mistake of treating the exercise as a hobby, and by doing so almost inevitably consign themselves to being a failure. A hobby is something that you do when the mood takes you, and business is far more demanding than that. If you have your own small business and sell a product to a customer who is not satisfied, you cannot address their complaints when it suits you. It does not matter whether your business operation is run mainly online or offline. In all business the customer is king. In other words, when the customer says 'jump', that is what you have to do.

Of course, marketing online is a business where you can work on a part-time basis and can do so from home. Nevertheless, whether you work one hour or ten hours every day in your online venture, you should still treat your business as a business. In my experience, the biggest reason that most people fail is a lack of focus, iformation and knowledge. The truth is that online business is no different from business as it has been practiced for hundreds of years. The only significant difference is that your 'shop window' is on the internet rather than being a high street store. You still have to find the right customers and supply them with the products that they want or need, and if you can do that, your affiliate marketing business will be a success.

No business is going to make you a millionaire overnight, this I can gaurantee. With the right guidance, information and attitude your online success will reach new heights and take you where you have never been before.

The 3 Easiest Ways For Newbies To Start In Affiliate Marketing

With the aid of the Internet, you can almost have everything right at your fingertips. With just a few clicks you get access to thousands and even millions of pieces of information and data on virtually any field of interest. As years pass by, the Internet continues to effect radical changes in many facets of human endeavors, including commerce. Experts say that the information space, commonly known as the world wide web, grows by over a million pages everyday as more and more people utilize the Internet for information, education, entertainment, business and other personal reasons. It doesn't take a business-oriented individual very long to realize that this phenomenon can bring about sky-high financial gains. The Internet's fast-growing popularity in recent years is surely an opportunity for increased business and profits that any entrepreneur would not want to miss.

You might be thinking only businessmen can make much money from the Internet, don't you? Think again. You too can earn big bucks through the Internet even if you don't have products to sell or a high-profile and established company. How? Through affiliate marketing. You might have come across these words over the net while surfing. Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing between a merchant and an affiliate who gets paid for referring or promoting the merchants products and services. It is one of the fastest growing industries nowadays because it is proven to be cost-efficient and quantifiable means of attaining great profit both for the merchant and the affiliate and other players in the affiliate program, such as the affiliate network or affiliate solution provider.

Affiliate marketing works effectively for both the merchant and the affiliate. The merchant gains opportunities to advertise his or her products to a larger market, which increases their chances to earn more profits from sales. The more affiliate websites or hard-working affiliates they get, the more sales they can expect. By getting affiliates to market their products and services, they save themselves time, effort and money in looking for possible markets and customers. When a client clicks on the link in the affiliate website, purchases the product, recommends it to others who look for the same item or buys it again, the merchant multiplies his chances of earning. On the other hand, the affiliate marketer benefits from each customer who clicks on the link in his website and who actually purchases the product or avails of the service provided by the merchant. In most cases, the affiliate gets commision per sale, which usually is a fixed percentage of the sale or fixed amount.

If you want to be an affiliate marketer and make fortunes out on the Internet, you may follow the following three most basic and easiest ways to start an effective affiliate marketing program. First is to identify a particular thing you are interested in or passionate about so you won't be bored and forced to develop your affiliate web site later on. Focusing on a specific area you know very well will help you bring out your best without much risks and effort. You can add a personal touch to your site and give your visitors who are possible buyers an impression that you are an expert in your field. In this way, you gain their trust and eventually encourage them to buy the products you endorse. Next is to look for good paying merchants and products or services related to your interest and your website. In choosing the products, you must also consider its conversion rate or the number of visitors-turned-buyers. There are various affiliate networks and affiliate solution providers that can give you info on the most profitable products and best paying merchants. The key here is, be wise enough to choose the right one.

Now that you have decided where to concentrate, have chosen the products to endorse and the merchant you are supporting and have created your own web site with top level domain name and reliable hosting, you are ready to promote. This is a crucial task, since it is through this that you would be able to increase traffic to the business website, sales and of course, profit. In affiliate marketing, it is possible to earn large sums of money in a short span of time especially when you're endorsing high-priced items. Expensive products are hard to sell; however, with the right marketing strategies and sales techniques, you can draw visitors to the merchants site and have them buy the products. How to promote the products, though, would need a separate discussion. Continue to educate yourself by reading books or other articles online about the best advertising techniques.

Keep in mind, there is no simple and quick path towards success. Affiliate marketing may seem very tempting due to numerous encouraging testimonies of merchants and affiliate marketers alike who have benefited from it, but it entails great deal of hard work and persistence. Likewise, you need to be creative, flexible and willing to embrace new ideas to market your partners products until you find the perfect strategy that works for a specific market that you are targeting. Neither signing up for an affiliate program nor copying ads and leading others towards the merchants site guarantees success. Many affiliate marketers fail to understand this, so when they don't make sales, they quit, look for other programs and repeat the same mistake. In the end, they conclude that affiliate marketing is just one of those scams on the Internet. Even as you sleep, you can work your way to great financial success if you employ the right strategies in affiliate marketing. Be creative, be smart and surely, you'll achieve your goals.

How To Build A List Of Eager Subscribers

Every internet business should provide a great service to generate satisfaction among their customers. As each and every customer receives satisfaction over their products or the services they get, there is a great chance that they will become a return customer and buy again. Better yet, they will recommend you to other people that could generate more business for you and your site.

As more traffic is driven to your site, you can entice many of them to subscribe to your mailing list or opt-in list. An opt-in list is a list where your website visitors agree to be sent promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and such that could keep them updated about your site or the niche of your site. These promotional materials are sent via e-mail to the members of the list at different time intervals.

When using e-mail as the media of your marketing and advertisements, you eliminate the need for the high costs of conventional marketing efforts. Email is free and if you can manage to make your own promotional advertisements you can also save a bundle there. With an opt-in subscribers list, you are pretty sure that what you are sending out is received, viewed and read by the subscribers and not simply being deleted. They have signed up or opted-in for service and have consented to receiving it.

This means that there are constant reminders to your subscribers about all your products, new products and services as well as any promotions and special deals you are having. There is also the chance that they can be forwarded to other potential customers as they tell their friends and families about you and your site. Of course you must also offer the option to unsubscribe when they feel that they are not getting what they want or expected. Make sure that your list of subcribers are satisfied with your opt-in marketing strategies and keep them excited in receiving your newsletters and catalogs as to make sure they do not opt-out. Without customers you have no business.

Here are some tips that can help you build a list of eager subscribers.

Make your promotional materials interesting and fun. Try to use a little creativity but not too over artsy. Build around what your product or service is about. For example; if you are selling car parts, put some pictures of what is new in the auto parts world, a new wing door possibly that can fit any car and make it look like a Lamborghini.

Try to research what people are looking for, this way, you stay one step ahead of them all the time and you will be their bearer of new tidings. They will be eager to receive what you are sending them because they new you always have fresh and new things to share with them.

Write good articles that can be very informational but light at the same time. If your subscribers enjoy your articles, they will go to your site by clicking the links that you will be putting on your newsletter to read some more. You can provide articles that can connect to many people. Be diverse in your articles. Put something humorous, then put something informational, then put something that has both.

Are you worried about this because you don’t like writing? No problem, there are many professional and experienced article writers that can do the job for you for minimal fees. They know what they are doing and can provide the need that you have for your newsletters, the money that you pay for your articles are going to be met by the many sign-ups and the potential profit from the sales that you will get.

Create and send an E-book to your customers about anything that is related to your business or site. Use your knowledge and expertise in the field you have chosen to help other people who are similarly interested. Offer this e-book for free. You can write about anything informational and helpful to your subscribers. For example; you can do manuals and guides in so many things. This e-book could be used as a reference for many people.

Share this e-book with everyone, even other sites; just make sure that they don’t change the links in the e-book that will lead people to your site. If you want, you can always get some people to write it for you just like your articles. Your investment once again will be covered by the great marketing this will generate.

Make sure not to flood your mailing list with useless emails so that you don’t annoy your subscribers. Your customers are the most important part of your business without a doubt. Gain their trust and try your best not to jeopardize this relationship and you will have a great marketing vehicle at your fingertips.

Get Rid Of Procrastination Now!

Do you put off your work for later, only to find your deadlines steadily creeping in? Then you, my friend, are one of the millions of people afflicted by the procrastination virus. Procrastination is the biggest reason for loss of productivity and late output. Though many would not admit it, they would benefit greatly if they start their work on time. For many people, putting off their work for later is more habit than desire. It can be so hard to get into a groove where starting your tasks in a timely fashion is a priority, especially if the consequences for being late are things that one can probably bear. If you are one of these people, yet you desire to shake off your propensity for procrastination, then you have come to the right place. Here are a few tips to help you overcome this dilemma and become a more productive and reliable person.

1. Set schedules – It is very important that you have a list of activities to accomplish per day. This will help you realistically budget your time and resources. One of the cardinal sins people commit in regards to performing their tasks is to put off their work because they feel like there is so much time left. A journal, organizer, or calendar of events will help you plan and schedule your task so that you can start them promptly and finish them on time. Many new palm devices and phones allow you to conveniently manage your lists and schedules at your very finger tips.

2. Save the Vacation for Later – Many people put their work off for later saying, “I'll just have a little fun then buckle down to work later.” While it may be true that they may have more than enough time to accomplish their tasks, it would be better if they finished their work first and relax afterwards. Wouldn't relaxation be sweeter if it were after a taxing job? If you choose to lay back and relax before doing your tasks, you will be more prone to burnout and will have nothing exciting left to look forward to after accomplishing a task. It is always better to have slack period AFTER a job than before one, especially considering that people are prone to overusing their slack time. This is time management suicide if you are heading towards a deadline.

3. Never Underestimate Your Tasks – Sometimes procrastination sets in because people underestimate the resources, difficulty, and time spent for a particular task. They will usually say, “It's just writing an article, its easy; I could do it in a jiffy.” The problem is, no matter how trivial the task, it still takes time and resources to accomplish. If you underestimate a task, you will most likely set too little time to do it and schedule it too close to its deadline.

4. Don't Allow Yourself to Get Comfortable Doing Nothing – It would definitely help if you kept a subconscious alarm whenever you are doing nothing. Get this alarm to remind you of things that may need to be done. This will help you foster the notion that jobs accomplished now means more time for relaxation later. However, even if this is the case, do not forget to put ample time in for rest and to remove all thoughts of troubles before hitting the sack. The trick here, however, is not to overdo you rest. There is a difference between resting and idling. Always set the right amount of time for rest and stick to that schedule.

5. Always finish what you start. One of the biggest sins in time wasting and procrastination is to not finishing a project completely. So many people, including myself, tend to get to a point in a task and get bored or distracted and never finish. Half of the rooms in one of my houses I am remodeling are almost done. You have no idea how annoying that is. My wife sure does. Anyway, make sure that you have an idea what the completed task actually is. Have a clear picture in your mind or have a definite stopping point on paper before you stop the project. Even if you get distracted, make sure to start back up before starting a new project.

Using these tips can surely get you through some of your procrastinating issues if used consistently. Believe me when I say that, once you get over putting things off and writing things down, you will start to do more everyday and enjoying the extra time you seem to have more and more of.

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for a successful market that draw the biggest profits. Sometimes they think there is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is only good marketing practices and techniques, combined with years of hard work and dedication that have been proven to work over and over again. There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and are continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today.

With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more. Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also, when available, try to include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing. You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to action on each page. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your opt in section. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect. Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing an opt in section on your page, you can later contact the prospect with useful information at certain specified periods, to remind them of the product they thought they wanted in the first place. Be sure that the content on the page is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch. Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word "free" because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone could read them. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not take part in your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest. Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day. Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above do not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part. Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can start maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do. Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving.

Why So Many People Fail In Affiliate Marketing?

More and more people are lured into affiliate marketing everyday, and you may be one of them.

Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the most effective means of generating a full-time income through the Internet. It is a fair and mutual deal between the merchandiser and his affiliates as both benefit from each sale. Like in other kind of business, a great deal of the profits in affiliate marketing depends on the affiliates advertising, promoting and selling strategies. Everyday, as the affiliate marketing industry expands and competition heightens, an affiliate marketer must be creative enough to employ unique and effective ways to convince potential buyers to purchase the products and services that are being offered.

Compared to traditional advertising practices, affiliate programs are much more effective, risk-free and cost-efficient. But then why do many people still fail in affiliate marketing? There are a lot of reasons for failure and a lot of reasons for success. Let's get something straight though. For every affiliate marketer that fails, there are also several who succeed. We aren't all just out here waisting our time.

The most critical aspect in the affiliate program is advertising. Many affiliate marketers fail in this aspect because they lack hard work, which is the most important thing in affiliate marketing and in all business in general. Although it pays to be lucky, you cannot merely rely on luck. Hard work and sweat equity are important factors in succeeding in business. Affiliate marketing isn't as simple as directing customers to a businesses website. If you want to earn big, of course, you have to invest time and great amount of hard work in promoting the products.

As earlier mentioned, the competition is very high and customers nowadays are very wise. After all, who doesn't want to pay less and get more in terms of quantity and quality. That's just the way society today operates. More for less. Can you blame them?

Lack of preparation is also a reason why one fails in affiliate marketing, whether they are a merchandiser or an affiliate. Part of the preparation is in researching. On the part of the merchant, he has to be highly selective in choosing the right affiliate websites for his affiliate program. In order to be sure he has the best choices, he must have exhausted his means in looking for highly interested affiliates whose sites are a sure fit to his products and services. The affiliate sites visitors must match the merchants targeted customers. On the other hand, the affiliate marketer must likewise research on the good-paying merchandisers before he signs up for an affiliate program. He must ensure that the merchant's products and services match his interests so he can give his full attention and dedication to the program and the sales and marketing of the program. The affiliate can get valuable information by joining affiliate forums, comparing different affiliate programs and reading articles on affiliate marketing where he can get tips from experienced affiliate marketers on how to choose the best merchants and products with high conversion rates.

The website is a very important tool in the whole affiliate program. As an affiliate marketer, you should plan how your site is going to be, from domain name to the design, the lay-out, the content, and the ads. Some users are particular about what they see at first glance and thus when they find your site ugly, they won't read through the content even if your site has many things to say and offer. On the other hand, there are those who want information more than anything else and don't care what the site looks like. These, however, are few and far between. Affiliate marketers with rich-content web sites are usually the ones who prosper in this business because the content improves traffic to the site. Websites with high quality content with relevant keywords and more importantly, accurate information about the product they are promoting and not empty hyped-up advertisements, allow the affiliate to earn big in affiliate marketing. If you aren't able to sustain the interest of your site visitors, you most likely will not be able to lead him to your merchants site. No click-through means no sale and thus, no income on your part.

Always remember, content is and always will be king, or queen.

Selecting a top level domain name is also crucial to the success of the affiliate program. Lots of affiliate sites don't appear in the search engine results because they are deemed by affiliate managers as personal sites. Major search engines and directories would think of your site as transient and thus, they will not list it in the directory. Before you decide on a domain name for your site, know first what you are trying to promote. Many fail because their sites are not appropriately named, so even when they feature the exact products the customer is looking for, the customer might think the site is not relevant and thus, won't enter the site.

Above all, an affiliate marketer must be willing to learn. Knowledge is power. Certainly, there are still a lot of things to learn and so an affiliate marketer must continue to educate themselves so they can improve their marketing strategies. Many fail because they don't grow in the business and they are merely concerned about earning big quickly. If you want long-term and highly satisfactory results, take time to learn the ins and outs of the business. Continue to improve your knowledge especially with the basics in affiliate marketing ranging from advertising to programming, web page development, and search engine optimization techniques (SEO). Likewise, study the needs and wants of your site users and how different merchandisers compete with each other. You will never know everything, so don't even try it. The internet is a large place and there is a lot of information out there. Keep on trying; don't get disappointed if your first attempts did not pay off.

Thousands are attracted by the possibility of generating skyrocketing incomes through affiliate marketing and so they sign up in any affiliate program without carefully understanding every aspect of the business. When they don't get instant results, they quit and sign up for another program and repeat the process of just copying links and referring them to others. When you sign up for an affiliate program, don't expect to get rich in an instant. Work on your advertising strategies and be patient. You'll never know how much you can get if you don't persevere. Learn as much as you can about the business and soon you will see results that are meaningful and lasting.

Most people are not failed by the industry. Most people that fail, are failed by themselves.

How Freebies Generate Leads for Websites

It's human nature to love getting something for free. Everybody loves free stuff. Business owners can use this behavioral truth to increase traffic to their websites and generate qualified leads.

Not everyone who visits a website is ready to make a purchase. In many cases, consumers will comparison shop, visiting several times before making a decision. So even if the website is the main portal through which customers place orders, an equally important purpose of the website is to generate leads.

Creating an ezine or newsletter is a common freebie. Subscribers opt in, which means they provide minimal personal information such as first name and email address in order to receive the newsletter or free product. Each new subscriber becomes another lead. The result over time is a large mailing list of qualified prospects who eventually become loyal customers. In addition to the newsletter, business owners email announcements of new products or services to this custom-made pool of potential buyers.

Many website owners give away freebies such as a special report or ebook to increase newsletter sign-ups. This gives visitors to the website an additional incentive to take action, an important step in converting the visit into a future sale. Making the offer time-limited increases urgency and gives prospects a good reason to sign up now, rather than later.

Another benefit of offering freebies is the valuable market information it provides. A significant response to an offer suggests the item is a hot topic among qualified buyers. Such data can be useful in driving new product development for the business.

Marketing experts have noted one downside of the free offer, the possibility of attracting people who solely want the freebie but are not interested in purchasing anything in the future. One way to decrease the likelihood of this is to make the free offer enticing to those in the market for the products and services offered for sale, but unappealing to others. A direct seller, for example, could offer a free item to anyone who books a sales party that month. By tying in the freebie with the desired action, only serious shoppers will respond.

A growing internet trend is to offer visitors a free membership to the websites online community. Membership entitles the user to access restricted areas of the site, publish a profile, and interact with other members of the community.

Industry estimates show that response rates triple when a freebie is offered as incentive for prompt action, effectively lowering the business owners cost per lead substantially. Even if the free gift increases the total expense of the campaign, the higher volume of qualified leads will result in higher sales volume, thus offsetting the additional expense.

Offering freebies in exchange for an email address is increasingly becoming the top method for marketers to recruit a qualified opt in list.

So where do you get freebies to give away if you don't have the inclination to become a writer or have the time to create a product?

Using private label rights (PLR) products you can have your own products ready for sale quickly and easily. Using this content is quite simply the best way to get affordable content quickly. Within hours you can have your own product line put together and ready to start creating freebies and building your unique and qualified list of potential customers.

How to Use PLR Content to Blow Your Competition Out of the Water

Does it seem like you spend the majority of your time (or money!) on content creation?

Website content, newsletter content, blog content, new products, mini-courses, special reports, the list goes on and on!

Or even worse, maybe you don't devote any time or money at all into developing content.

In this case, you're missing out on a huge opportunity to cash in. As they say, "Content is king".

To help overcome the hurdle of producing content, smart marketers are turning to Private Label Rights (PLR) articles, ebooks and special reports. It's a very affordable way to keep up with all the content that a successful site needs.

But PLR content could be doing even more for your online business. Most people using PLR are just scratching the surface of what this awesome resource can do.

Most marketers are submitting articles to article directories and creating Adsense sites instead of focusing on where the real money is. Chances are that if your competitors are using PLR content, they're missing out on some golden opportunities to make money as well.

What smart marketers know is that PLR content is a great secret weapon to blow your competition out of the water.

Here are some ways that PLR content can put you a step ahead of the others in your industry:

1. Fast product creation is where the money is. It gives you complete control over your image of expertise in your field and lets you keep a higher percentage of the profits upon sales of your products. Using PLR content, you can create a product within hours instead of months.

2. More complete product lines in your arsenal, the more products you have for sale, the more money you will make. It really is as simple as that. Because once a customer purchases one product from you and is satisfied with it, he or she is significantly more likely to make another purchase from your sites. By having a complete line of products on the same topic you'll greatly increase your backend sales and your image of being an expert in your field.

3. PLR content is a great way to create both free and paid content for your blog, members or website. This gives you options for building your list and participating in giveaway events while at the same time having a line of products that you can sell for a profit.

4. Whether you need content for your website, blog or newsletter, PLR is the quickest and easiest way to get it done. Although some PLR will need to be rewritten, you can also combine information from different sources to create longer articles or E-books that need very little rewriting or investment in time or money.

5. Free up resources. When you spend less time and money on creating products and other content, you'll have more resources to focus on promoting your site and making money. Watch your traffic go through the roof when you're devoting 75% of your time to attracting visitors instead of writing content.

If you're not already using PLR content to grow your business, now is the time to start. There are so many opportunities to save time and money while at the same time propelling your business forward to the next level at lightning speed.

The key is to just get out there and do it!

If you would like to get started right away, our good friend and excellent writer Gabor Olah, writes on various internet marketing topics and his site offers one of the largest selections of high quality PLR content on the web for free!
